Cary, North Carolina – 101 Weston Labs, an InsurTech accelerator focused on innovations for independent insurance agents, has announced a new sponsorship from Risk Placement Services (RPS), a national specialty insurance product distributor for independent insurance agents.
The accelerator, which is a project of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC), is in the process of launching its inaugural cohort of technology companies innovating in areas like AI, data analytics, process automation, cyber liability, quoting, and more. 101 Weston Labs will work to advance their efforts with access to funding, agent product testers, advisors, and consulting from program stakeholders. RPS’s sponsorship will include significant funding of the project and its development of these new InsurTech solutions.
Wayne Leshynski, Sr. Vice President at RPS, said that the shared goal of supporting the future health of the independent agency system drove their interest in sponsoring the program. “RPS has always supported technological developments to improve the insurance industry’s underwriting, claims management and sales results.
